SHAKE YOUR TALENT: THE SECOND ACT OF THE SEARCH FOR THE MOST INNOVATIVE INTERNATIONAL TALENTS AND COCKTAILS IN MIXOLOGY
We’ve reached the second act of the “Shake your Talent” campaign, our search for fresh new talents and the most innovative cocktails to be served at the 50 Best Bars events, during the awards ceremony of the three international rankings of the world’s best bars.
After a selection of over 120 recipes from over 30 countries around the world, the first act of the “Shake Your talent” project ended with the featuring of the two winning bartenders behind the Disaronno and Tia Maria bar counters at the North America’s 50 Best Bars 2023 awards ceremony held in May in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico.
For Tia Maria, Michael Aredes, “master mixologist” from New York, presented his “You Don’t Nomi” cocktail, a perfect blend of sweet and sour flavors with a touch of tropical passion, which earned him the guest bartender spot at the event.
His counterpart behind the Disaronno counter was the histrionic Parisian Marcus who gave birth to his “Bisou“, with a simple yet exquisitely refined taste.

Whether they are new talents or great reaffirmations, Disaronno and Tia Maria always have an eye on innovation as well as opportunities for sharing knowledge to improve the culture of drinking. As official sponsors of the World’s 50 Best Bars events, they had the honor of awarding two North American bars this past May:
– Bar Pompette in Toronto, winner of the Disaronno Highest New Entry Award 2023 in North America’s 50 Best Bars ranking;
– Civil Liberties Bar in Toronto, which received the Best Bar in Canada 2023 award, sponsored by Tia Maria.
What’s the next stage in the “Shake Your Talent” project, then? The second act will see previous winners serve their cocktails at the Asia’s 50 Best Bars ranking award ceremony on July 17th in Hong Kong. The picks from this round will be validated by the unquestioned authority of three expert influencers acting as judges – Priyanka Blah (@priyankablah), Shane Eaton (@cocktailpilgrim) and Tara Fougner (@tarafougner) – who have the task of selecting the most innovative recipes made with Disaronno and Tia Maria.
