“CANTINE APERTE”: A WINE PLACES EXPERIENCE

Last May, the Duca di Salaparuta cellars in Casteldaccia, located a few km from Palermo, overlooking the sea, opened their doors to Wine Lovers for “Cantine Aperte“, the event organized by Movimento Turismo del Vino with the aim of promoting the culture of wine tourism in Italy. A unique opportunity to learn about Duca di Salaparuta wines, in a day dedicated to the pleasure of sharing and tasting, with many special appointments and masterclasses led by Duca di Salaparuta experts.

The historic Cantine Florio joined the “Cantine Aperte” initiative too, welcoming enthusiasts into the heart of Marsala production, through first-hand exploration of the geography of these cellars, so rich in charm and history. With a program of guided tours, masterclasses, Food&Wine tastings and book presentations, Cantine Florio regaled all visitors with an intimately unique experience.

Throughout the summer, the Cellars in Casteldaccia and Marsala will remain open to the public, at pre-established times and days, for guided tours and tasting packages.

The historic Cellars in Marsala will make any Wine Lover’s summer unique by opening their doors to them, for the first time ever, also on Saturday afternoons and Sunday mornings for guided tours and tastings. An opportunity to discover the incredible world of Marsala and the fascinating geographies of the cellars, a stone’s throw from the sea.
